Concrete Manual - Updated to the 2006
IBC and ACI 318-05
Updated to 2006 IBC and ACI 318-05.
This text on concrete inspection will provide the inspector with an
understanding of the scientific principles that underlie sound practices
and will assist the inspector in making rational rather than arbitrary
decisions. The Concrete Manual provides the guidance and information
that inspectors and related professionals need to become more proficient
and professional in relating to concrete field practices and inspection.
The information provided will increase the technical capabilities of
jurisdictional inspectors in the performance of their inspection duties.
The Concrete Manual serves as a valuable reference to assist the special
inspector in performing the duties and responsibilities of special
inspection for reinforced and prestressed concrete construction.
(Hardbound, 356 pages) A valuable CD-ROM is included which contains the
entire Concrete Manual in a PDF format.

2008 Building Code Requirements
& Specification for Masonry
Structures and Related Commentaries - ACI 530-08
(TMS 402-08 / ACI 530-08 / ASCE 5-08)
The "Building Code Requirements
for Masonry Structures (TMS 402-08/ACI 530-08/ASCE
5-08)" covers the design and construction of masonry
structures. It is written in such form that it may
be adopted by reference in a legally adopted
building code.
The "Specification for Masonry Structures (TMS
602-08/ACI 530.1-08/ASCE 6-08)" is a reference
specification and is required by "Building Code
Requirements for Masonry Structures (TMS 402-08/ACI
530-08/ASCE 5-08)" to specify materials, labor, and
construction. Thus, this specification covers
minimum construction requirements for masonry in
structures. Included are quality, inspection,
testing, and placement of materials; the placing,
bonding, and anchoring of masonry; and the placement
of grout and reinforcement. This specification is
intended to be referenced in the project
specifications. Individual project requirements may
supplement the provisions of this specification. |

legally adopted building code. Among the subjects
covered are: definitions; contract documents;
quality assurance; materials; placement of embedded
items; analysis and design; strength and
serviceability; flexureal and axial loads; shear;
details and development of reinforcement; walls;
columns; pilasters; beams and lintels; seismic
design requirements; glass unit masonry; and

Building Code Requirements for Structural Concrete
and Commentary ACI 318-05 / 318R-05
ACI 318 is a must-have standard
for all concrete design, construction, inspection,
repair, and research professionals. ACI 318-05
contains the latest code requirements for concrete
building design and construction. The companion
commentary is a side-by-side column format to match
the corresponding code requirements. The commentary
provides some of the considerations of the committee
in developing code provisions. This edition of the
ACI Building Code is deemed to satisfy the
International Organization for Standardization (ISO)
19338, Performance Assessment Requirements for
Design Standards on Structural Concrete. This Standard is part of the

Reinforced Concrete
Design - 7th Edition
Learn The Basic Concepts of Applying the ACI 318-05 Code Rules and
Formulas - Now revised to ACI
318-05 code, this thoroughly updated Seventh Edition of Chu-Kia
Wang, Charles G. Salmon, and José A. Pincheira's Reinforced Concrete
Design incorporates the changes in design rules arising from the
publication of the 2005 American Concrete Institute (ACI) Building
Code and Commentary (ACI 318-05). Written for students and
practicing engineers, the book explains the basic concepts you need
to understand and properly apply the ACI Code rules and formulas.
Throughout, the emphasis is on the ACI approach involving strength
and serviceability "limit states" and factored loads. Detailed
numerical examples illustrate the general approach to design and
analysis. |
