Flammable and Combustible Liquids and Gases, 2005 Edition

Flammable, Combustible or Hazardous Liquid, Gas or
Vapor
NFPA 329 outlines the
appropriate methods for responding to fire,
explosion, and human health hazards resulting from
the release of a flammable, combustible, or
otherwise hazardous liquid, gas, or vapor that may
migrate to a subsurface structure.
It incorporates provisions
from NFPA 328 : Recommended Practice for the Control
of Flammable and Combustible Liquids and Gases in
Manholes, Sewers, and Similar Underground
Structures.
The 2005 edition of NFPA 329
was rewritten to correlate with the 2005 NFPA 326:
Standard for the Safeguarding of Tanks and
Containers for Entry, Cleaning, or Repair.
It also contains editorial and
format changes that make requirements easier to
understand and apply.
