ASCE 7-02: Minimum Design Loads for Building and Other Structures
The ASCE Standard Provides Requirements for General Structural Design for Buildings in All Conditions

The new, completely revised Minimum Design Loads for Buildings and Other Structures, ASCE 7-02, gives current requirements for dead, live, soil, flood, wind, snow, rain, ice, and earthquake loads, and their combinations, that are suitable for inclusion in building codes and other documents.

ASCE 7-02 is a complete revision of ASCE 7-98. The new ASCE 7-02 includes all significant changes made to the following provisions:

• Snow
• Ice
• Flood

SPECIAL NOTE: The Earthquake Load Provisions in this special edition of ASCE 7-02 for the first time now referenced in the 2003 International Building Code®. All other ASCE 7 provisions continue to be referenced in the 2003 IBC.
